There are different types of stances and the first step is to find one that you feel most comfortable in. You need to feel comfortable in your stance as competition sessions can last for hours at a stretch and there are no seats to rest! In order to last longer and make the most out of it, one must be in a comfortable position.
You also want to make sure you're not slouching or leaning too far forward. By having the right posture and keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground, you can prevent unnecessary fatigue.
